Role of NCC in promoting leadership

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) programme was proudly started by [School Name] two years ago with a focus to developing leadership and discipline. Since its founding, NCC has grown to be a crucial component of the extracurricular activities offered at our school, providing students with priceless knowledge and experiences.

NCC requires 40 sessions of instruction per year, which are held in the morning from 6:30 am to 8:30 am. Every session lasts one hour for theory and one hour for parade, giving pupils a thorough understanding of military customs and procedures.

Participation in NCC is open to students of 8th and 9th grades, categorized into first-year and second-year cadets. While both groups undergo training, only second-year cadets are eligible to appear for the Certificate A examination, a testament to their dedication and proficiency.

Our yearly camp, when first- and second-year cadets gather for a 10-day overnight camp, is one of the highlights of our NCC programme. This camp provides an opportunity for participants to put newly acquired skills into practice while building teamwork and camaraderie.

Each year, approximately 50 students actively participate in NCC activities, engaging in a variety of learning experiences, including rifle shooting and other outdoor activities. The benefits of NCC extend beyond skill acquisition, with students gaining confidence, leadership abilities, and a sense of responsibility through their participation.

An important showcase of our NCC cadets’ dedication and skills is their participation in the school’s sports day parade, where they display precision and discipline, earning admiration from peers and spectators alike.

we are proud to offer the NCC program as a platform for students to develop leadership qualities, physical fitness, and a sense of national pride. Through NCC, we aim to equip our students with the tools and values necessary to become responsible and principled citizens of tomorrow.

Come celebrate our NCC cadets’ accomplishments and development as they continue to exemplify service, discipline, and dedication.
