Encouraging Students Through the Guides and Scouts Movement
Our school has been actively involved in the Scouts and Guides organisation for the past 12 years, offering pupils chances for leadership development, community service, and personal growth. Students’ ideals and character have been greatly influenced by our school’s Guide wing, Rani Laxmi Bai Company, and Scouts as Nethaji Troop.
Sixth to eighth graders are fervently involved in this movement, attending weekly training sessions on Saturdays. These courses are designed to get students ready for the annual September to December Award Test Camp, which is a highly competitive event.
It’s a matter of pride that a minimum of 70 students are promoted annually to participate in the Rajya Puraskar Test Camp, a significant milestone for both Scouts and Guides. This camp serves as a platform for students to demonstrate their skills, leadership abilities, and commitment to the principles of the movement.
A highlight of our involvement in the Scouts and Guides movement is the celebration of the Scout Founder’s birthday on February 22nd. On this special day, our students participate in various competitions, showcasing their talents and skills, and consistently emerge as winners, bringing honour to our school.
The Scouts and Guides movement not only imparts valuable life skills and leadership qualities but also provides tangible benefits for our students’ future endeavours. The Governor Award certificate, earned through active participation and dedication to the movement, serves as a supporting document in securing college seats and employment opportunities, underscoring the enduring value of their involvement in this noble cause.
Through the Scouts and Guides movement, our students are equipped with essential life skills and values that will serve as a solid foundation for success in all aspects of life, making them responsible citizens and compassionate leaders of tomorrow.
